Casting, Haircut, Jakarta

Hej!
Sorry. . . noticed the time was late already. . .shiiiet, early mornings everyday now. . . saturday will be early as well. . . . alright i'll quickly fill you in on today anyway. . . bullet form ftw:
- Woke up early, went to a general casting
- Met Chris, Chris, and other friends at casting
- It was quick, just snap 4 photos. . . done
- Casting was at a studio, and they had a wall filled with polaroids of models that had been there, saw looots of friends i'd met throughout these months, not only the ones in singapore right now, but also from when i first got here. . . was an awesome wall. . . . makes me want to buy a polaroid camera XD
- Casting man, took polaroids of us as well, gave us a black pen and told us we can write anything we wanted on the pictures. . .
- A lot of models on the wall had written something funny, and maybe drawn devil horns on themselves or whatever.
- Chris drew on his picture, giving himself hängslen, a tie, a childish cap and drew a background representing a detention room
- The other Chris drew a pirate patch on his eye, a beard, and wrote "The REAL johnny depp" on his
- I wrote "The Typical Swedish Guy!!!" and drew an afro, big nerdy glasses, a soulpatch (A type of facial hair), and wrote on my t-shirt "I'm with stupid" and an arrow pointing to my left. . . hopefully my picture will end up next to someone with a serious polaroid picture haha
- We had sooo much fun, and the pictures looked sooo good, i wish i had brought my camera so i could've shown them XD Our three pictures were probably the most exagerated of all the polaroids
- It made such a nice wall, it was maybe 100 polaroids of different people, loved it! such a good idea and such a nice collage.
- Grabbed a cab together with 2x Chris and one of the brazillian models, jumped off at orchard
- Went for a hair cut
- Turned out much better than before
- Went to agency
- Had to decline the shoot i got through AADB :( on Jane's command, here's the reason;
"Hi Sweden,

For this job, S$400.00 for half day is way too low for someone like you. There are various reasons why these companies/clients go to website like AADB to look for talents.

The main reason is because they don't want to pay the standard fee for a professional model. Other reasons are that there are limitations to media usage and time limit to the media that we, as your agent, has to look out and care for you.

There are such companies call "stock library" studio whereby they will pay minimal fee for your service and then store your pictures in their studio so that anyone, from anywhere, can buy the photos from them and use it for their ads, without any restrictions. This is detrimental to model or model wannabe career. That is why as an agent, we'd never accept the job.

So we have to be careful who we are dealing with.

Do you want me to get in touch with Samantha? I would like to do that but I am certain it will shun her off.

I suggest that you get back to her, tell her you expect a fee of S$1200 for the half day shoot including the right for them to air in Discovery Channel for a period of 12 months. Any other media releases will have to be informed, discussed and negotiated with you.

Sweden, do not sign any document before or during or after the shoot. I must read any document that they may ask you to sign.

Also Sweden, you must commit yourself to us, as your agent. I understand that you are new and may be anxious to do whatever modelling jobs come along but we have to think about your future. You are going to HK and hopefully, Japan. Although this is a short time planned to do all these, we still have to follow the correct and standard modelling guideline.

I hope you do know that we are constantly trying to secure good jobs with good pay for you. Your portfolio is getting stronger and by the time you go to HK, you will rock the market. And that's where you will make your big bucks and buy 100 Ipods if you like. (Hahaha.....)

You do know that you are confirmed for Singapore Fashion Festival 2008 shows by Daniel Boey, right? You are so new in this industry and yet you can booked for one of the biggest fashion shows event in Singapore, this is huge. So you must believe that you have a good future in this industry. That's why we cannot f**ked it up therefore must exercise care in selection of jobs for you.

Maybe you don't understand much about this industry and the people that make this crazy world. I would be more than happy to fill you in. I hope you would be able to digest though. (Hehehe.....)

- It all makes sense, sorry i copy and pasted it all but i am in a hurry to get to bed . . .
- So i replied to Samantha very politely, and she took it very well and told me that she will deffinitely be contacting me when they get jobs in my price range haha
- I also found on the AADB that it has a section where people put up casting calls for various things, very interesting and seemed lucrative, i gave Jane my log in info and told her to check it out, she seemed very interested as the casting calls regarded everything from TVC's to actual full length movies.
- Two people from an agency in jakarta were visiting the Agency at that time as well
- Apparently they had been looking for me the previous night, they REALLY want me to coem to jakarta
- One was practically begging, and they were giving all the reasons why i should go and blablabla
- Seems like i can make quite a lot of money in jakarta. . . but not sure. . . would probably rather go shanghai hehe
- After i sat and talked with them for about an hour, i left to go to the gym
- Khai was in a meeting with a big boss and told me that my card would be ready tomorrow. .. . so i missed out on gym today. .
- After that i met up with relatives and ate. . and now i'm here!
BTW, i'm gonna adopt a new diet. . . . here it is, got some help from Tommy Williams, the canadian model i was talking about:

here are a few things that you could do for a lean diet to
lose some extra weight if needed and slim up.

first off, look at how you train.
to get lean and defined, do high reps, 15-20 on everything,
and low weight. lets say you lift 100 pound on the bench press for 3 sets of 10. Drop that and do lets say 60, as an example, or whatever you can do 15 reps with.

high reps will pump blood intothe muscle and help keep you defined.
do that in your training routine for a month or so.

now on to diet.

you will have to be eating around 6-8 good small meals a day. allow yourself one cheat meal a week( cheat meal means something like pizza or w.e)

here is a plan for you that you can tweek to what you like. but its a base start.im assuming you weight less than 75 kilo?
anyways.

Breakfast( meal 1)
- either 2 scoops of protein powder or 6 eggs( 4 whites- 2 whole)
2 slices of whole grain toast - butter or jam, w.e you like
green tea or water.
and a regualr bowl of oats.

Morning snack(meal 2)
- 1 scoop protein powder in water, one bowl of yogurt.

Lunch(meal 3)
- 1 chicken breast, perferably oven cooked or bbq, not fried on pan.
1 cup cut broccoli, or veggies of choice.
one cup brown rice

afternoon snack(meal 4)
- small salad
2-4 slices of ham or turkey
2 slices of bread
mustard or mayo. make a sandwich

Dinner(meal 5)
- salmon fillet or or beef steak( rib eye or lean steak)
one medium sweet potato( yam)
1 cup veggies.

bedtime( 5 min before bed)(meal 6)
-one cup cottage cheese, or
one scoop protein powder.


there ya go.
hard to follow at first but one you get used to the rythem of eating like this it is ok. this will speed up your metabolism and it will help you cut down. make sure you are getting alot of protein. you dont need to worry about carbs because you are wanting to stay lean.

i recomend getting a tub of protein powder from gnc, the gnc brand is good,

and that should do it.
you shouldnotice some change after the first few weeks to a month.
if you are feeling hungry then make the portions bigger, i.e. instead of one cup of rice, do 1 1/2 or w.e

- He is obviously very good and passionate about this kind of stuff! anyway. . . this is what i will be eating for the nearest month, depending on how it works out, i'll decide whereas to continue or not.
