Singapore Tourism Board, AADB and The Silhouette shoot

Sorry mom, yes i am tired, hence the minimal involvement over the phone hehe. . . I do miss you so don't worry bout that!
Alright, so yesterday was the 15000+ kr shoot, and the day before that was another shoot. . . i guess i'll start with that one;
Alright so, the shoot was in the evening at 9pm.
When i walked into the studio i saw Yuriy was posing away as a restaurante cook, i also caught a glimpse of Ksenia's silhouette on the computer screen, posing as a waitress (Don't ask me how i knew it was her. . .)
I went into the back of the studio and let the stylist do his job. . . as usual, the stylist had problems with my hair, but it was relatively easy considering that it was just a backslick. . . = a palm filled with gel and a shitload of hairspray later and i was finished haha.
Then i got into a suite (My role in the shoot was the MANAGER of the restaurante ;) and started the shooting.
I had to stand with my arms crossed, head held high, looking confident, proud and friendly hehe.
The shoot went very fast, the photografer was crude but funny.
I heard they had, had problems with yuriy because he didn't speak english so well and he kept doing his ultra serious poses whereas they wanted a smile hahha. . . poor guy.
Anyway, the shoot only took 1 and a half hours, so it was a quick one.
I then took mrt home and had to walk for about half an hour because the busses stop going at 23.17. . . . kiss. . .. I rather like that walk though, that is. . . if i have music. . . which i kinda don't because my 4-5 year old mp3 player is finally showing symptoms of its age hehe
Other than that, i had only been to a casting during the day and the gym. . . then the rest of the day i spent at the agency. . . just farting around and organizing my Portfolio with the aid of Jane.
Oh btw, i had been out looking for gym clothes when Andrew (The owner of Carver agency) calls me and tells me he needs panasian models for a panasonic campaign. He said it's the biggest. . . of the year. . . . he's american though and they are good at selling stuff hehe, he's a great guy otherwise ;) Anyway he seemed psyched about it, but he said. . oh but there might be a problem if yer contracted with carrie's right? blablalbalblablalbla.
Anyway, i had ångest for a good 2-3 hours while walking around deep DEEP in thought pondering whereas i should tell the agency and risk not getting it. . . or tell them. . . .. i felt like i didn't have anyone to talk to about it, i felt lost. . . eventually i had an epiphany and remembered that Linda works just next door to the agency. So i went and told her about my stick, and she eventually convinced me to go through the agency. . . which i did. . . turns out that they had the casting as well, but Andrew is the one hosting the casting, so all is well that ends well. I believe the casting will be this saturday. It'll be interesting. He also wanted me to come by and show off for some hong kong agencies, but before i had time to reply and say that i already have an agency in hong kong he messaged back and said that they were held up at a shoot hehe. Well that was still an interesting event. . .
Alright on to the next day (i.e Yesterday);
I woke up in the morning for the Japanese job thingy, got ready, left for the casting.
I was the first at the casting, an extremely interesting man walked in and did the casting. Very friendly and pleasant, with an outrageous style (Not only clothing, but he had also shaved everything on his head except for a patch in the back which flowed out in the form of dreadlocks in an array of colours)
Anywho. . . .. i had to take off my shirt and get my picture taken. . . DAMN THE SLOW RESULTS!!!! so i dunno if i have the body they want. . . . ah well. . . i hope i get the job anyway, would be so much fun going to japan for a shoot. . .
After the casting i met Marcella and Anderson out in the hallway on their way to the same casting BAD LUCK BAD LUCK NO DON'T TAKE THE JOB FROM ME! hahahha

Hmm. .. what happened after the casting. . .. . i believe i got sent to another casting which i do not remember too well. . . .anyway, unimportant since i dun remember it haha ;)
* Correction, i now recall what i did;
It was a casting for the central mall shows which would take place after fashion fest (This also happens to be where my first 2 shows took place)
I walked there from the agency, met chris and other friends at the casting.
A dropdead gorgeous female asian model walked into the casting while we were waiting for our turns. . . it was a tiny room and the two Chris's from australia were talking with me while we waited. The asian model girl laughed every now and then at our jokes. . . later on Chris (The Gay one) Agreed that she was stunning haha.
Oh right, the casting just required us to do a little walk, briefly show our book and leave. . .. haha
After the casting i walked for a bit with Chris and the two swedish models, then i left them to go to the agency.
I spent a lot of time in the agency that day as well, this time i finally registered for an account on AADB.com (Asian Actors Database). It's an online homepage that advertises you for acting jobs.
You create a profile and place it into your category (Mine was Adult Male)
You write down you CV, skills, lifestory etc haha. I personally haven't gotten to the lifestory thing yet :P I jsut uploaded the maxmimum 8 pictures your allowed to have and wrote down a few jobs.
It costed 150 sing for a 1 year subscription. . . .i was curious yesterday whereas this would get me any jobs or not. . . .. WELL. . .. sure enough! One day later (ie Today) i open up my email. . . and what do i see? An email from a production studio that wants to do a vignette (Dictionary - "A short scene or incident, as from a movie.") for Discovery channel that will be featuring Samsung TVs. . .. halfday shoot, 400 sing. . . . hahaha that went really fast, i had to ask them if they found me off AADB because i had jsut created the account about 10 hours before i got my first job through it XD Crazy. . . well at least now i've paid for the enrolment price and more ahha :d Awesome. . .. love it. . .
I think it will be shown for a year on Discovery channel. . . . something like that. . . will be interesting ;) And all i have to do is pretend i'm watching TV. . . . haha
Ok ok, back to yesterday.
After hangin around the agency for a period of time i headed to the 15000+kr shoot back at shutterbug, where i had the shoot the day before.
This time the job was for "Singapore Tourism Board" Print ad, so i'll hopefully see my picture here and there in singapore ;)
At the studio I met Marcella and Ksenia who were also in the shoot, so it was me, ksenia and marcella.
We had to stand on an kinda pedestol made up of Shopping bags and boxes.
Ksenia was holding a laptop, i was holding a camera and marcella was holding a purse.
We were supposed to scream "YEAH" and look really happy as if we had bought everything we're standing on and we just love it haha.
Eventually they made me switch with ksenia, so i was holding the laptop. . . . which was kidna scary because i was afraid i'd drop the laptop when we screamed yeah and raised our arms triumphantly into the air.
The crew noticed that and went like. . . don't worry about the laptop, we can see you're scared of dropping it. . . . we'll jsut deduct it from your pay (Jokingly) hahaha. . . well i evenutally found a technique :P I was getting kidna sweatty hands from holding that damn thing so it made it extra slippery, but as long as i wiped my hands off on my shorts or whatever just before the photografer counted 3, 2, 1 "YEAH" the laptop safely stuck to my hand hahaha.
Well, we had to take maany many shots with many different variations, like someone would hold their item blocking the light on someones face, someone wouldn't look as if they were close enough to the group (We were supposed to portray great friends) and etc etc etc haha.
It was a fun shoot actually, and i'm excited to see where i can spot the final product :D
Oh another thing is, people seem really impressed by my book now! Marcella, photografers, stylists, clients :D So hopefully i'll get even more jobs hehe.
Well the shoot was fun and it finished at 23.30 i think it was. . . . started at 19.00.
After the shoot i walked with Marcella to the mrt, we took the mrt, she hopped off at Dhoby Gauht, and i road all the way to clementi. . . i got home around 00.30. . . . ugh. . . And then i fiddled around with AADB for a while because i wanted to get my profile presentable as soon as possible. . ultimately i fell asleep around 4.30 . . Shit. . .. ah well it was worth it. . . .400-sing-and-TV-exposure-worth-it!
hahaha. . .alright, now for today's events.
I woke up at around 12 from the sound of my vibrating phone. I lay in bed for 15 min pondering whereas i should go check the phone to see if it was a casting. . .. or if i should stay in bed for another few hours. . . . eventually work prioritisation kicked in and i sleepily walked over to the phone.
I had 3 messages, one from Ting, one from Kit and one from David.
David (My friend) said it was a pitty we hadn't seen eachother for quite some time, and asked what plans i had for Fashion Fest.
Kit's msg was a casting
Ting's msg was a casting. . . . .ick
So. . . a day where i thought i'd only have one casting (Which i had gotten from monica the day before) suddenly turned into a busy day. . . .
I wanted to hit the gym, but i wouldn't have time, the castings were spread out.
So i got ready and headed to the first casting.
I had been shortlisted for a print shoot for a mall or something. . . . the casting sucked ass. . . . The clothes didn't fit (They were too small so i looked like a retard) and the guy taking photos had such a soft voice i had to ask several times that he repeat what he said. . .. aah nvm it was just basically an irritating casting.
And it was far out as hell. . . .ang mokio mrt. . . . liek 16 friggin stops from clementi. . .. took forever. . . the trip to the agency from there was also like 16 friggin stops. . . . So it took a long time haha, i had to go to the agency because the next casting was like 2 min walk from there.
This casting was for a TV commercial, it went very quickly, i just had to pretend i was taking a picture of something, then i look to the right and to my surprise a girl is sitting there taking a picture of the same thing . . . and i was supposed to smile like i was surprised and what not haha.
Well it took maybe 5 minutes. . .. very quick casting, the clients also told me the agency is very proud about my win in Bali hahahha XD
Alright, so after that casting i walked back to the agency, thought i had lots of time so i felt like relaxing there (It is a very relaxing place) but, as usual i overestimated time and realized shortly after plomping myself down in their couch that i had to leave for the final casting haha.
The final casting was for samsung, had trouble finding the place but eventually found it.
Talked a bit with the models waiting there, waited for my turn, walked into an office.
They told me it was a casting for a samsung digital camera launch, the model's would be farting around in their designated cubicles simulating various situations such as travelling with family and what not. The people invited to the event would be the media and we would have to talk with them and learn some stuff about the camera and blablabla. . .. sounds like a pretty high paying job though. They asked if i was afraid of talking with strangers. . . i laughed and said no. . . . the clients were kind, i liked them. . . . anyway, that was it.
Then i left for (Btw there were some smoking hot asian female models at the casting haha)
Vivocity where i met up with the relatives for dinner. . .. and now i'm here writing the blogg ;)
Alright just some other random info about life at the moment:
I am currently searching for an MP3, i reckon i'm gonna go for a cheap, tiny and preferably a plug and play mp3 player. . . . ie i don't have to install any software to move music onto the mp3 player.
I have also Decided i will go for the Cannon G9 camera or the nikon p5100 depending on tillbehör and stuff.
And that's it!
gotta go to bed, early day tomorrow and i need sleep hahaha
