Hey!
Sorry i haven't written for quite some time now, but you guys have all been in my thoughts this past week.
Well let's jump into it shall we?!
After the rapunsel show, i had to wake up the next day at 5am, rehearsal for my final Singapore Fashion Festival job at 7.45 am.
This show was going to be for Fürrmuse and PIMABS.
Fürrmuse is the store that me and Joel frequently visited during his stay here in singapore (Ironically, i was wearing the same shirt that joel bought!) which made it a really fun show.
PIMABS was some japanese designer brand, kinda reminded me of "That 70's show" The clothes were pretty vintage, retro style ^^
Anyway, the rehearsal went quickly, i acquainted myself with one of Chris's friends (Chris has left singapore and has moved to New York now btw :(
Together, me, Chris and Andrew from america (Los Angeles) went and ate at the lucky plaza food court. . . which i don't too highly recommend. . . ordered a dim sum char siew noodles. . .. sure it was cheap! But there wasn't much to eat haha!
After the meal, we all headed back to the Ngee Ann Tent (Where fashion festival was held) to initiate our makeup and hairstyling :P. . . . which wasn't much as usual for me hehe, my hair they just made it neat and slick. . . which we found out later was completely pointless because i'd be wearing a hat for both shows :P
Anyway, the show eventually grew nearer and all the models were ushered into the changing backstage room.
I got into my outfit, a cool hat, white shirt and a pair of grey pants which i'm going to go buy when i find time ;)
The shoes i was wearing was worth noting as well, they were shiny white dress shoes. . . really nice stuff!
The show started, and i walked out onto the catwalk, it was great. . . i just love the singapore fashion festival catwalk, it feals so professional and highclass XD
Just one long straight forward and sexy catwalk, with lots of people in the audience (Everything from designers, to celebrities) and cameras flashing everywhere. It was one hell of a fealing i tell you! Having all that attention directed at only you while you walk down a long lane. . . pretty cool haha :D
I rushed back and hastily put on my second outfit, which was for the japanese designer. I had to really rush this outfit, i wore an old fashion jazz hat, a checkered shirt upon a purple shirt, with purple pants and black dressshoes. . . i think it was pretty cool as well haha. Oh and not to forget the bright red Suitcase i was carrying XD
It was pretty cool because i got to open this show, so i was first model out, directly after the music started playing and the spotlights hit the stage for the first time, then i was also the one leading the finalé sequence ^^
After the Japanese designer outfit, i rushed back and changed back into my first outfit from Fürrmuse.
We waited for the girls to finish of their last sequence, and then i walked out led by the entire model entourage for the finale. . . was pretty cool ^^
Another thing i thought was worth to note, was the attitude pose Ross, a guy from australia pulled off hahaha, it was so cool. He walked out looking hardassed, then at the end of the catwalk his pose was lifting up his two fingers at the cameras (This is signlanguage for "Piss off") Haahha i thought it was really cool, and we all laughed backstage XD He later told me "Aaah it didn't matter, i did it for my girlfriend back home, and i'm leaving singapore soon so it's alright" haha XD
After the show i talked with the designer from Fürrmuse whom i had already met a few times from haji lane together with joel. I Told her i'd come by and buy the pants, she enthusiastically told me she'd give me a reduced price! Wee haha.
Eeeeuuuhm. . . well that was all for that day.
The next day i found out from Baykal that he was comming to singapore! It was so sudden haha, and i also found out that Gong Gong and Quama were heading to KL to teach chinese for two weeks! hahahaha
Anyway, Yee Yee told me i could have my friend over at our place as long as we cleaned up afterwards!
So i gave Baykal a call, he was very relieve because he had booked tickets but not a hotel.
Later that day i headed out to meet up with Idris, Chris, Emma, Claire and Adam for the goodbye dinner of Chris.
We headed to a sushi place and ate some, i had to deny heading out for a last party because i had to head home and pick up Baykal who was arriving at 12 am that night :D
I headed home, chilled out for a while and awaited Baykal's call.
He eventually called and i headed downstairs to pick him up, was great seeing one of my old mates from gymnasiet!
We sat up till 4am talking and about eachother's trips.
Man . . .. Baykal. . . he was such an insightive person, i felt like his visit opened my eyes in many aspects, and broadened my views to many perspectives. . . He was truly an interesting guest!
He has been travelling around the world now for three months, this was his last stop.
The pictures he showed me (Taken with SLRs) Completely BLEW my mind away. . . i had never seen such beautiful pictures before. It impressed me beyond all reason. I was truly jealous, the funny thing is, despite everything he told me about and everything he had gone through, he was completely blown away by the stuff i had done and was equally jealous. . . Just goes to show that we don't fully realize how amazing our lives are! (Ofc i know this is an opportunity of a lifetime, and the experiences i'm gaining are irreplaceable, but it was still a great fealing hehe)
This guy had been everywhere from Africa, Philipines, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. Truly amazing. And he had left on his own as well (I believe dad did the same thing?), Which i found the most amazing. During his trip he had met a hand full of other backpackers whom he travelled around together with. The fun thing is that many of their trips they decided on the DAY of the flight out. So they would go "Hey. . . .let's go to the philipines?!" "ALRIGHT LET'S DO IT!" A few hours later they would be on their way. . . amazing :D
And wow. . .everything he had been through, i think he had seen 6 of the world wonders within those three months!
Well after a looooong long talk, we finally decided to hit the haystack, and that was that day.
The next day we both woke up really late, at around 2pm.
I showed him Orchard road, and we ended up watching the movie "Street Kings".
We also went to an internet café to blow off some steam haha XD
Later that night i introduced him to the nightlife and modellife of singapore.
I took him to Mimolette (Which means this was friday night)
Baykal is extremely social, and we stood and talked with a group for hours, i also succeeded in getting a models drink card for him, "Oh, and this is Baykal, he's not on the list, he just arrived from an agency in the philipines". . . okidoki! And that was that hahahha.
After mimolette i showed him MOS and we had a great time.
We ultimately returned home and fell asleep at around 4am.
Next day we awoke at 1pm. . . uugh!!!
Anyway, the agenda for today. . . was the prince of johor!
I had been invited over to johor a few days earlier, and i was allowed to bring Baykal with me.
Idris sent one of his diplomat cars over with the registration number "TMJ"
The driver was really funny. . . we didn't understand anything he said though because of his dark special english ahha. . . still a funny guy!
It took us about 1 and a half hours to get into JB because of the massive MASSIVE traffic, all the malaysians working in singapore were on their way home (Saturday).
I got a cool picture of the hundreds of Motorcyclists in a queue.
Baykal was freaking out at the priviledges we got from sitting in a diplomat car.
We drove straight past the singaporian border, didn't have to show who was in the car, didn't have to undergo any checks, show any passports. .. the driver just waved at the gaurds who smiled and let us pass by!
Then we drove into the Trucker lane and drove past at least another hour of car queueing hahahaha! It felt awesome. . . . we both felt like kings ^^ Having the gaurds smile at us and just wave us by.
Eventually we ended up at Idris's house, which was like a giant farm, with lots of cars and 100 horses! His father and his brothers play Polo, which requires a lot of horses haha, he's allergic to them though :P
We jumped into Idris's car and drove to TGIFriday's for some dinner.
Idris paid for it under heavy refusal from me and baykal, especially baykal who wanted to pay for his food, but neither of us had Malaysian ringit.
After the food we drove around a bit, got saluted by a few soldiers, saw a royal museum and ended up at the usual chill place near some theme park.
Idris's little brother and his friends turned up later on with a big black car haha, almost like a hummer (Which they have in their garage btw. . .)
We hung out for a while before we decided to head home to singapore.
The diplomat car dropped us off at Dhoby Gaut mrt, we took the mrt home.
We got dressed and headed out to MoS for the second night in a row.
This time we partied with the prince and his friend. We had a great night.
Eventually we came home and went to bed.
The next day. . . . . what happened the next day?. . . . I know we went to watch the movie "Untraceable". . . oh right!
Our intentions were to head to sentosa during the day and then enjoy the Sentosa models beach party, but i slept till 3pm and Baykal slept till 5pm!
So we scrapped sentosa and headed to Orchard where we watched the movie and met Idris again.
Baykal loves Idris, he admires him for being so humble, ie. not spoiled by his money.
After the movie, i brought him to Bugis, where we sat in an internet café till 12 at night haha. It was fun!
We then grabbed a taxi home and ultimately fell asleep at around 4-5am. . . .
The next day we awoke at 7am, I took farewell of Baykal. . . decided to stay awake instead of heading back to sleep, because i had a casting at 9pm for. . . . something.
After that casting i headed to the agency for a while, then i headed home and slept for 3 hours before i headed back into town for a second casting.
After that casting i met up with Yee Yee and we ate dinner together, afterwards we went home and i went to bed!
The day after that. . . . i wake up. . . my intentions were to take my computer over to Wyle's place so i could upload some photos and update you guys on the blog. . . . but then i find a message in my facebook from Sammy saying "WE'RE COMMING TO YOUR HOMETOWN AT 1PM!!!"
Hahahahaha so one thing leads to another and i eventually meet up with Sammy and his Girlfriend Erika. . . after i do a shortlisted casting for some skin print ad.
I met up with them in Somerset, we ate subway (Which i btw ate for every meal together with Baykal. . . he LOVES that stuff), and watched the movie "Bucket List" A great movie about to old men who find out they have half a year to live. They make a list of stuff they want to do before they die. . . and they set out on an adventure together! Great movie! .. . the cinema on the other hand. . . was THE coldest i had ever experienced. . . i was sitting in thick jeans and a long armed shirt. . . i was literally shaking, and my teeth were jittering. . . haha crazy. . .
I took farewell of Sammy and Erika and headed home.
Now for today!
Oh btw, yesterday at the cinema, we walked into a store called "Collage" It contained clothes from Fürrmuse, white room in haji lane! (Where i wanna buy my pants)
I asked the shop girl if they had a sister shop in Haji lane. . .which they did hahaha i found it cool to randomly stumble upon the shop anyway.
Later on i recieve a call from the female designer i had met at haji lane and done the show for.
She laughed and said her collegue had called her and told her that i had visited her store, she said they were all stalking me, and asked when i was gonna come by hahaha, sweet girl XD
Ok anyway, on to today, which is wednesday!
I woke up at 11am, got ready and headed to Irene's house (One of Cathy's friends).
Irene and her husband drove us to JB for just a few hours, where we had lunch, coffee and shopped a bit.
Then we headed home. . . the main purpose of this trip was to extend my singaporian visa. . . .. and omg. . ..
The immigration guy spent maybe 30 minutes going through my passport, he asked for my flight tickets home and questioned me out.
We then got "escorted" to the immigration office! OOOMGGGG!! DIE LOOORRR!!!!
They seemed a bit pissed, they said you can't keep extending your visa by leaving the country and comming back in all the time, you have to extend it through the internet. . . which was apparently fine. . .. without further discussion they stamped my visa and let us go. .. . gave me a scare. .. . i guess it's time to head for home sweet home haha XD
Well. . . after that whole ordeal, me and Cathy headed home to clementi, where i hung out for an hour or two before Sammy called and told me they were heading to the Night Safari.
I got dressed and embarked on my 2 hour trip to Ang Mo Kio mrt station. . . .
From there we took bus 138 to the zoo.
We spent about 4 hours at the nightsafari, i think they really enjoyed it. . . so did i :D
My intentions were to show them MoS, but i wasn't going to go party because i'm feeling a bit exhausted, but they eventually decided, after four hours of sweating around in a zoo, that we'd all head home and sleep isntead. . . i didn't complaing :D
I was lucky to catch the second last mrt to jurong east (One stop away from Clementi) Sammy & Erika on the other hand had missed their last mrt. . . they decided to head to Ang Mo Kio mrt and decide what to do from there. . . hope they didn't have to pay TOO much for a cab home :(
I grabbed a cab from Jurong east to clementi after taking some photos of a night market.
Now i'm here updating you guys :D
This is also my explanation why i haven't had much time to write ;)
Hope you guys are all alright! And ofc i'd never forget any of you!
Lotsa Love
Alex
Nighty night!
PS.
Mom
Yeh! You are spot on with the feelings you felt when you used to catwalk. . . seems as though it was exactly the same back then :D
Please don't be sad when i seem distant over the phone, You usually call during the night. Many days i have had an exhausting day, so i might not sound like the cheeriest guy in the world over the phone, but trust me, my heart jumps everytime i hear the phone call late at night, and i wonder everytime it doesnt ;)
Lotsa Love!
Farmor
Jag avundas er i sverige. .
Lotsa Love!
Dad
I've had a few more down days. . . but interestingly enough i feel like a better man afterwards. . . so i guess i just like to think that most things happen for a reason, that help you to grow. . . don't worry though, i'm probably just as childish as ever. . .. i don't see leaving my childishness behind as a part of growing up ;)
Lotsa Love
Pictures:
I have a lot i want to show, but i have a casting tomorrow, so i should actually have been in bed 15 minutes ago. . . and considering how pissed my internet is at the grandparents house i reckon it would take at LEAST half an hour to upload all the photos. . . . so i hope you guys can wait till tomorrow!
Lots and lots and lots of love!

Hi my lovely son,
I miss you and your exciting life! It is the reason, I asked yesterday, as to why you have not written. However, after reading your blogg, today, I can understand that you didnot have much time over to write.
I am glad that you have friends over to visit. It will strengthen your ties to them. You will have lots to reminisce with them about, when you are back home, in Sweden.
As for home, spring is here to stay. All the spring flowers are blomming. Do you remmenber all those pretty spring flowers outside your windows? Dad, has been very busy. Kim has her long board that she is working hard with. We were out for lunch last Sunday, and pop into Hollywood to buy a pair of shoes. Kim was so happy because she saw that the long board that she had ordered was infact,1000kr.cheaper than the one in that shop!!! Happy!! Then we went to Mrs Wong to buy some groceries. Kim decided to ask Mrs Wong if she had a job for her. Mrs Wong asked if she could carry a 10kg rice sack and laughed!! Then, to Kim´s amazement, Mrs Wong asked when she could start working. Kim said whichever weekend and so she was told to already start learning the cashmachine this weekend!!! She is so happy to have a job and all her friends are so envious of her because they also want to work and earn some pocket money. I am so proud of her because she showed punt!As to Mom, I am finally feeling better. I have been down 3 days now but feeling better everyday.Still aching but no fever or headache. Great hearing about your exciting life. Thanks for taking the time to write. Love Mom
