Shiet. . .Hong Kong Peak, Cheung Chau Island & DISNEYLAAAAND!

Helluuu!
Today is teusday:
I haven't done much, however i have gone to the lufthansa office in order to ask about the change of date concerning my flight home.
It went better than i had been expecting, she was kind and as dad said "Just say it with confidence". . . Oh right, maybe you guys don't know, lemme start over.
A few days ago i wrote an email to MR.Jet enquiring a change of dates concerning my ticket home. They said it was not flexible and i could not change the ticket. . . ZOMGGG!!!!
Ok back to today, so i just said "Oh that's wierd cause i know for a fact that i went through several airlines and specifically chose a more expensive ticket so that i could change my flight home if desired"
She said "Oh ok. . . i'll check some blablabalbalalab contact the head office blablabalbalbalba i'll look for available tickets, when do you want to go home blablablablabal" So now i have a seat booked for the 20th of september, however i'm to call back tomorrow and see if it's possible to change and if there are any additional fees involved. . . . so it'll work out somehow. . . i hope.
After reading this you can also see i've decided to stay the intitially planned time in hong kong, so i'll be heading home when the contract is up and which is when i would have left hong kong anyway. The agency's plan was to send me to shanghai after that. . . but i never wanted that, nor did i ever even consider doing that. . . .
Speaking of agencies, after lufthansa i headed over to the agency to request a copy of my contract to be sent to my email. They sent a copy to SATS so that they would freeze my account, but they never recieved it, so i'll send it myself ;)
I also happened to recieve a check for 13000+ hong kong dollars, which is the remaining money my agency in singapore owed me. . . so now my worries of running out of money are over (I was down to my last two 500 dollar bills which i recieved from farmor and farfar ;)
Hehe ok, let's back track a few days, i've been up to a lot lately:
Let's begin with Saturday:
After waking up late, Claire and I decided we had to find something to do, i suggested the hong kong peak remembering it was pretty cool when i went with the singaporians.
So after some quick research on location and how to get there we grabbed the MTR to hong kong central station.
We walked up a long hill (Helping me build up a healthy sweat), then we proceeded by walking up a long staircase (Helping that healthy sweat increase to an extent where a dark patch began to form on the FRONT of my t-shirt).
Well up the staircase we stopped and started reading the map again. . . .confused we looked around trying to decide where to head next. Fortunately an american stopped and asked "Are you guys lost?" Thanks to this man we recieved new directions. . . . headed back down the same staircase and walked onward.
Once again after a long walk we reached a point where we were lost and confused, another man stopped and asked "Are you guys lost?" this time an asian man, with his help we were pointed in the direction of the Tram which would take us up to the peak.
We reached the Tram station and to our horror the queue not only went well out of the station, but it also curved thrice up and down, far down the street. . . . .. . cry. . .
Well we got in the queue, i sent Claire to go grab some icecream.
The queue moved faster than expected and by the time she came back i was already on the inner queue (The third curve) So she had to fight her way past a lot of people to get to me hehe.
Well eventually after perhaps an hour of queueing we reached the tram and we were on our way up a steep hill all the way to the top of hong kong.
We had also purchased Sky Floor (Or whatever it was called) Tickets for an extra 10 HKD.
This allowed us to walk up to the top of the giant building they had sitting atop an edge looking over the city.
Ofc the view was amazing, and we got a lot of pictures taken. . . or well claire did (My damn camera is out of battery)
I don't recall fully what we did after the skyfloor, but by the time darkness hit we were walking on an outdoor trail, we stopped when we reached a waterfall. Took a few pictures and headed back to the building where the tram arrived.
Around this building is like a little square, with shops and restaurantes.
We chose a cozy (expensive) looking restaurante and got a few seats.
It was worth the extra money. . . i finally got myself some real meat! I also got that wonderful "I'm on a vacation" feeling, the kind of feeling you have when you are travelling for nothing but the enjoyment of it, the kind of feeling you have when you retreat back to your tightly made hotelroom beds and crawl under the covers!
It was a really pleasant night, both of us were really enjoying it. . . it was really good.
After the dinner we headed back up the building and took a few photos of hong kong city at night, which is obviously amazing. . . it truly earns the nickname "City of Lights".
Afterwards we headed to the tram which would take us back to central. . . . . even this time we had to queue in a huuuuuger queue stretching far away from the building itself hehe.
But we had fun, i taught Claire some cursewords and we were pretty much cursing in swedish the entire wait for the tram.
After a tram ride home, our exhaustion which we had gained during dinner had dissappeared. . . neither of us wanted to go home, so we saw a sign that pointed in the direction of the Botanical gardens. . . it was night (About 11pm) but we decided to check it out anyway. . . . it was unfortunately closed. . . . We did however see a really freaky hobo. . .
At this time we were now walking around central which is where all the nightclubs were, we were also trying to decide whereas to go clubbing tonight or to just retreat home. . . . we chose the latter.
However, well in causeway bay (Where we live) we decided to catch a midnight movie called "Journey to the center of the earth". . . IN FREAKIN 3D!!! How cool is that?!
We did however have to wait an hour before the movie started. . . during this time we walked around our home area, ate crepes, icecream and tried on perfume.
The movie was amazing, you recieve a pair of 3D glasses and throughout the entire movie shit flies out of the screen at you. . . i REALLY enjoyed it haha
After the movie we went home and slept.

Ok on to Sunday:
Today we woke up at around 11am, got ready and met up with Aleksandra Wodzinska (a model from poland) at Palace IFC.
From IFC we grabbed a ferry over to an island called Cheung chau.
It's so nice getting away from the busy bustling city of hong kong and comming to a chill island like this.
We started the touristing by heading to a Mcdonalds (Omg. . . even undeveloped places like this have Mcdonalds) not for the food but for the toilets.
Afterward we initiated a short walk to the nearest temple. . . wasn't very impressive. . . but whatever, it was filled with smoke from incense and old people were sitting around in chairs. . .
ANYWAYS, we now walked through the narrow streets toward the nearest beach.
It was niiice, the sand was pretty rough but i was just happy to see a beach again.
Before we headed in for a swim i grabbed some fish n chips, while Claire drank some Ice tea and Aleksandra changed into her bathing suit.
After the meal, we walked up a tiny street where Aleksandra bought 4 wierd looking puff desserts. It was fun giving them a taste, it was so sticky it stuck to your lips and the inside of your mouth. . . . kinda looked like you had sneezed and all the snot flew out of your mouth. . . . .haha
They were tasty though, and i think i'd eaten it before in singapore.
After this little taste we went back to the beach, i bought a towel and we found a spot to lay on (Under the shade ofc).
Out in the water were two floating platforms which you could stand on, Claire and I left aleksandra to watch the bags while we swam out to the platform and chilled for a while.
It was so nice to be in the water again, i really enjoyed it. . . it was really salty and sticky however.
When Claire and I returned to the beach, Aleksandra went out for a swim while we shut our eyes and lay on our towels.
The next switch was Claire and Aleksandra out in the water while i lay and relaxed on the beach.
When they returned we lay on the beach for a while more until Aleksandra whined about how hungry she was, so we embarked on a journey to try and find food.
While walking around narrow streets of the village we also found another temple and walked up to a pavillion looking out over the sea. . . it was relaxing and pleasant.
Finally we found a restaurante we wanted to eat at, we ordered Crab, Shrimp and scallops from the english impaired waiter.
We quickly chomped through our meal; It was messy, spicy, interesting and tasty hehe
The island was really beautiful during sunset and night.
After the meal we headed to the ferry port, waited for 30 minutes (I went looking for Kimmy's sunglasses but the shops had closed) and then headed home.
Took farewell of Aleksandra, and before Claire and I went to bed we also went through a bottle of wine. . . haha

On to Monday:
Today we woke up at freakin 7.30! and it wasn't for work!
Nooo today we awoke because we were going to DISNEYLAND! Yaaaay.
We met up with Aleksandra at Palace IFC again, despite the oatmeal i had eaten 20 minutes earlier, i was hungry again. Claire grabbed a coffee at Starbucks, and i grabbed a coffee + focaccia.
We now went to the MRT and after a 30 minute journey we were at the Disneyland resort! whoooo!
It was nothing, NOTHING compared to Florida Disneyworld. . . it was actually pretty shit. . . but hey who cares, it's freakin disneyland!
Magic was in the air and childhood memories stalked you wherever you went, we ALL enjoyed it very much.
We did pretty much everything you could do, but what stands out most, i would say was:
- Spacemountain:
Remember mom and dad? They have this at every disneyland, i was too scared when i was 9 but today i finally got to go on the ride i've regretted i missed for so long.
It was shit. . . . I'm guessing the one in florida was more exhilarating than this one hehe. . . this also happened to be hong kong disneyland's ONLY thrill ride hahaha.
But yeh i enjoyed it; It's a rollercoaster that goes zooming around in the dark, the only thing you can see are the lights representing galaxies and stars. . . it was pretty amazing, but for thrills. . . it was shit hehe.
- 3D cinema:
They have this in every disney themepark as well. It was amazing.
This time it was donald duck going through various ordeals, shit was flying out of the screen, wind was blowing in accordance to the movie, water was shot at your face to simulate for example when Kalle Anka falls into the water etc. It was very very enjoyable, it surprised all three of us, loved it.
- Stitch Cinema:
This. . . . was. . . . . .crazy awesome. . . it probably would have sucked, if we hadn't been involved in the show haha
You walk into a cinema sitting on low seats infront of a big screen.
A computer animated stitch runs around and screams, whimpers, yells, talks etc.
At first i thought it was all pre recorded, and it seemed like. . . yeh whatever.
But then. . . . he says "I need some help from the audience (Points at the audience) YOU! What's your name?" The crewmember inside the actual cinema walks over with his microphone to Aleksandra who says her name. The stitch character on the screen says Well hello Aleksandra! where are you from? And blalbllalblalba it's amazing how much technology has developed, the stitch character's mouth and actions moved according to whomever was speaking as stitch.
Stitch also proceeded by asking her who she was with, Claire from australia and Alex number 2 from Sweden (Yes he referred to me as Alex nr 2)
He's like "Whoa it's an international party in here"
It was actually pretty impressive, and throughout the movie Stitch would continuously refer to us three and talk with us and stuff. He managed to blow up a planet and blamed it on Alex nr 2. . . me hehe, Well as childish as it may sound, we enjoyed it so much, we were pretty much laughing through the entire show haha, Brought huge smiles to all three of us.
Others he communicated with was a woman called nicole, who we saw later after the show, she was on her cell phone with someone, i don't think i've ever seen anyone so excited "STITCH SPOKE TO ME STITCH SPOKE TO ME OMG!!!". . . . additional information is that she was probably older than me haha.
Stitch also spoke with one more guy, he managed to turn it around so that the guy admitted that he as well was a spacecriminal.
Stitch said, wait a minute, ran to the computer started jotting down some stuff, then boom on the screen in his spaceship a picutre of the man appeared on a wanted poster hahah it was pretty cool. . . . .
- Lion King Performance:
I just thought i'd mention this because it was one of the attractions that stood out. . . i mean it wasn't anything over amazing but we enjoyed it.
It was a live performance with the lion king cast, i liked it especially because lion king is one of my favorite disney movies hehe
- Train around the theme park:
It really sucked, but i'm going to mention it because it was relaxing and we always used to do it in florida. . . . . but this sucked. . .. the view of the theme park was blocked pretty much 75% of the ride hehe, and it only had 2 stations. . . it was WAY shorter than the one in florida. . . but whatever, nostalgic
- Small world:
It was shit compared to the Florida one. . . but i guess nothing can really compare to that place hehe. However, this as well was nostalgic, you go on a boat ride through rooms filled with electronic children singing "It's a small world after all" in their own languages all dressed up and around culturally significant items.
However, the movement of the children's mouths were impressive. . .. technology has really taken a big step from back in the Florida Disneyworld days. . .
- Adventure land : Tarzan's tree house and boat ride:
Another enjoyable feature was a boat ride you could take which went around the river surrounding Tarzan's treehouse (Which we went to later at night. . . it was amazing)
The first time we took the trip it was just nice and relaxing, but nothing too extravagent or impressive. . . . .. but omg, we did it a second time at night in order to kill time prior to the Fireworks show.
This time a woman guide .. . probably drunk or high on drugs was commentating the entire trip.
She was HILARIOUS, she was so into it, she probably enjoyed it more than the passengers on the boat. . . . Alex, Claire and I all laughed till tears were rolling out.
The guide screamed and yelled and spoke so fast, she ran out of breathe constantly HUFF PUFF OMG WE'RE ALIVE HUFF PUFF. . . she was also laughing histerically. . . . hahhaha LOVED it.
- Water spouting totempoles:
As the title explains, there were 6 totempoles that shot water out of their eyes, ears, mouth, and. . . . hrm. . . genital areas. . . .
Anyway, feeling as a kid as you always do in disneylan, all three of us ran into the middle and cooled off with the help of the water spraying all over the place. . . it was fun and we did it twice haha.
- Fireworks Show:
Aaaaah the grand finale. . . .
I think saying how standing infront of the lit up disney Castle at night simultaneously as fireworks and nostalgic music is playing, is enough to understand what an experience this was. . . i got all emotional actually haha i loved it. . . disney will truly be amazing no matter how old you are. . . .

Well those are the attractions that i think stood out during our HK disneyland experience, it may be shit compared to Florida. . . or compared to any other theme park for that matter (ONE really pathetic thrill ride? I MEAN COMMON!), but let's face it. . . it's disney, and that alone makes it so worth it. . . we loved the entire day.
Oh some other things:
Claire and Aleksandra were asked by three different (Groups) people at three different occasions for pictures together with them. . . haha. . . models. . .
I ate at an international food festival thing, for dinner and lunch.
Aaaand finally, before we headed home, after the fireworks we first chilled on a bench for a long time just staring at the castle, then we headed to "mainstreet" and the girls bought some disney souveniers. . . . i had exactly 0 HKD left after the dinner so i didn't buy anything hehe.
Well that was an amazing day, and we all had a lot of fun!

I hope everything is well with everyone at home, and i'll keep you guys updated about the flight tickets. . . . hopefully a job will come soon. . . . or at least a freakin casting so i can at least have a chance at a job. . . .

Lotsa Love

/Alex

Hi Probably homecoming Alex,
Your blog didn't give me a definite understanding that you will leave HongKong Sep-20 for home, Sweden. I kindly ask you to confirm it.
Thanks for many interesting pictures. I think I see difference in pictures taken by you and others. Please note I am just amateur photographer, not a qualified commentator.

Sweat, blood are covering my painful life since last Friday. I was, still am thinking either going to Mt.Fuji to jump or to Seattle to do Harakiri in front of the most harmful creature to humanity, Bill Gates. I must make this very important decision as soon as possible, therefore, I must finish writing this comment right now to concentrate on making decision.

After the decision, I revert to my comment.

Keep off from computers, they keep humankind sick, I tell you. Friday night frustration kept me awake for long, long time.

Down with Bill Gates, throw away computers.

Love/ Ivar
