Fashion Fest Fitting, Adidas casting & Bridal casting. . . .

Hellluuuu!
Well today (Monday):
- I woke up. . . no seriously i did!
- Got ready and left the house for my first stop of the day
- Took MRT to Redhill
- Walked to the fitting building
- Saw Chris sitting there, sat next to him
- More models started pouring in (The fitting hadn't started)
- After a short wait it was Chris's turn, shortly followed by mine
- Inside the office the designers, stylists and coreographers were sitting
- And well what do ya know?! On Haji Lane there is a shop called "White Room" which me and Joel visited MANY times, we got along well with the shop owners and even got invited to their show during fashion festival. . . guess i got front row seats seeing as how the designer of my first outfit is them haha! And to make it even more crazy, the shirt i'm modelling is the same shirt Joel bought just a few days ago! hahahaha
- My second outfit was made by a guy that looked japanese, i'm also going to be the one opening this show
- We were 15 male models i think, the girls i suppose had their fitting at another time
- It took a long time though, because we had to wait about an hour for people who came late. . . ah well, i had time to kill anyway, becuase i had a casting at 2.30pm also in red hill.
- Chris's dad was also in singapore, visiting. He's and older man now, kinda reminded me of Shawn Connery. . . We got a long well and talked about a lot of stuff. . . after the fitting he insisted he buy me lunch ahha. And he really liked me, so he ended up telling me that it was a real pleasure meating me and that if i'm ever in Perth i'm more than welcome to stay with them.
Sweeeet, now i have a place to stay if i ever head to australia XD
- After the lunch, i took farewell of Chris and his father, and headed to the casting
- The casting was for Adidas, Kit told me it was not walking distance from Red hill mrt so i grabbed a cab (I walked back to the mrt after the casting though XD. . stingy stingy)
- At the casting there were only 4 of us, we put on some smart clothes and we were given a golf club.
- We were told to walk and then putt, and then act as if we won the game. . . . this was jsut a casting for a catwalk though, . .. wierd
- Anyway, after that casting i headed to Tanjong Pagar where i had my second casting of the day. . . .for another bridal show hahaha
- The suit i was put on was probably 4 times to big for me. . ..
- After the casting i headed back home and plomped my ass infront of the computer.
- I got an sms from Ting telling me that i got that job i casted for a long time ago. . .. guess which one? that big one on the rooftop bar, where i had to act "Sexy and Seductive" HAAAAAAAAAAAAH!. . . . mest lol. . . Btw, it's pretty cool because this will be the finalé party of fashion festival ;)
- After a while at home, Cathy called and we headed to the club for dinner.
- Cold crayfish apitizer, lamb meat for main course and a desert buffét XD
- The desert was awesome, lotsa of shiet, fruits, japanese "mochi", chocolate fondue, almond cake etc etc.
- After the dinner we headed home and here i am writing in my public diary XD

Well hope all is well with you guys!

Lotsa Love

/Alex

PS.
Farfar
Japanese food and mexican tex mex, my favorite food! I've recently begun buying cheap japanese food at the local food courts, such as bentos and what not :D LOVE IT!
I can just imagine how much a fine japanese meal must cost XD
Oh i didn't know dad used photo editting programs? Dad, if you read this. . . recommend something ^^
And ofc P&S will not suffice, when i give others the camera to take pictures of me and my friends i do set the camera to auto though. . . but when i'm behind the camera it's full manual that counts! :D I find it more fun anyway hehe
I know how you feel, a good meal always slows me down. . . . but it's so worth it ;)
Angående snus, Don't worry, i only asked mom to bring one dosa, i don't know why she always has to exagerate everything. . .
But anyway, i don't really see snus as a harm to neither me nor anyone else in my vicinity, it's not even proven it causes cancer. . .. but i'm obviously not a harmfull snuser considering how i've been in singapore for 7 months without snus now, i just thought it'd be fun to have a dosa over here. Save your worrying for cigarettes and real drugs instead, alcohol is much more damaging, and i've cut that down to nearly nothing, so don't worry. . .. mom. . .. jeeez. . .
Lotsa Love! hälsa farmor!

Sentosa With Joel

Tjääänaaareeee!
Alright, today (Sunday):
I woke up from Joel's call, we had agreed to head to sentosa today.
I headed back to sleep for a while before i finally got ready and headed to Vivo City in Harbour Front.
At Vivo City i met up with joel and we walked around checking out the massive amounts of botiques .. . if i'm not mistaken it is the biggest shopping mall in singapore. As usual i didn't buy anything though, neither did joel this time.
I hadn't brought my swimming trunks nor Any other "Beachy" necessities, considering how heavily it was raining this morning, i figured there'd be no way we'd head to sentosa, which is like a giant beach.
Oh how wrong i was. . .. the sun was blazing, and we decided to head to sentosa after all.
We took the Sentosa Express, which is new, i don't think my family has seen it yet (They probably haven't seen Vivo City either. . . but then again, there are construction sites ALL over singapore. . . EVERYWHERE, singapore changes so quickly haha), but it's nothing special. Just a mini monorail that takes you from Vivo City over to Sentosa, quick and safe ;)
After the monorail ride we jumped off at the beach station (Where 99% of the original passengers jumped off as well)
The sun was madness. . .. it was so hot, and i was sweating all over. Joel who usually doesn't sweat "Å nu jävlar lökar jag". . . so dje it was damn hot!
We walked around and checked out the beach. . . i REALLY wished i had brought my swimming trunks, because the water looked so inviting under this intense sun.
We walked from one end of the beach to the other, at the other end we found a store. . .. where i bought a pair of Swimming shorts for 29dollars hahaha XD
We then took the tram back to the beginning where we walked into seven eleven and bought two huge bottles of water.
Now we were prepared, to become SAVAGE! as Joel would say ;)
We walked back out onto the beach and chose a suitable spot on the sand.
I pulled off my t-shirt and ran into the water. . .. niiiiice, it was cooling, almost a bit cold! But perfect nonetheless.
So here we were all day, in the water, up on the beach and just hung out.
After a few hours on the beach we headed to the top of Sentosa Island with the help of a sentosa express bus.
At the top we were going to watch a 4D movie. . . but it cost 16 dollars for 15 minutes. . .. i said "Let's go eat first and think about it". . . we never returned :P
We ate Subway sandwiches.
After the Subway we walked over to a "Ride" or well it's probably more suitably called an "attraction".
You jump into tiny carts and zoom down to the beach from the top of Sentosa.
The steering is two handles, like on a bicycle. When you pull it back, you slow down, when you push it forward you increase in speed. . . .
The people before us were 2 women with children. . . we zoomed past them before the first turn hahahaha we just blazed down the whole hill, it was AWESOME, after the ride i said "This was the funniest 30 seconds of my life".
Reminded me of the rollercoaster i did together with Vincent in Genting highlands. . . .. me and Joel were crying with laughter all the way down the curvy hill, haha was a short ride for 9dollars but it was hilarious. . .
We then took the "Ski-lift" up back to the beginning (The lift was included in the price of the "Luge" ride as it was called)
Ski-lifts are actually pretty scary when there isn't any snow under your feet. . ..
After the ski lift we waited for a bus to take us to Tanjong Beach where Johan had told us to come. (Every sunday there's model's night at Sentosa Beach)
We had missed the free drinks which lasted from i don't know when till 7pm. . . . we were on the Luuuuge instead ^^
Anyway, when we got there we heard the music pumping from miles away, and they were having a fire show and it was on the beach and it was just an awesome place. Beach party!
Everyone was very very drunk, in their bikini's and swimming trunks.
I don't pay for alcohol, and Joel didn't wanna drink if i wasn't gonna drink, so despite the hassling from the others we remained sober all night. . . don't worry mom ;) haha
Well it was great fun, and afterwards we took a cab together with the two swedish models.
'I hopped off at Vivo City, and grabbed a bus home.
Now i'm here typing in the blog ;)
That's about it!

Gnight!

Lotsa Love

/Alex

PS.
Farfar
Choosiwa-ikaga, is that a more informal way of saying ogenki desuka? Kinda like in english how you would say "What's up"?
Must be nice to go grab dinner with the famous lawyer ;)
Hahahahhaha nice combo! Girls and soccer! I guess that would enhance the entertainment of the sport, maybe even for me. . . . god i'd love to see a fight break out between two female soccer players XD
Picasa? Hmm, gotta check out which editting program to download, i've heard a lot about "Photoshop Elements" sounds popular, i'll fill you in when if i fix it for my computer, because with the photo editting program from canon, I mostly just adjust the saturation, Contrast and brightness. . . so it's nothing really advanced haha
Alright, cause i've heard the japanese word "Motto" in a lot of my japanese series, so maybe it doesn't fit in that context? hehe Thanks for the help!
Hälsa o-baa-san!
Lotsa Love!

Dad
Hehe, i always cary around wet ones, so that i can whipe off the damn makeup after shows or shoots. I came to think of your suggestion today when we were taking the bus up to the top of sentosa.
Pulled out the wet ones and felt a lot fresher afterwards haha ;)
Joel was all oiled in with tanning oil hahahaha he wants to get "Savage!!"
I had to put some on my face though, because the sun was too intense and i could feel it burning my skin.
Well hope all is well and hälsa familjen!
Lotsa Love!

Pic3: Still Siloso!
Pic4: Yet again!
Pic5: My Coup de grace of today's photos, I took another picture with the sun directly shining into the camera. Didn't work very well this time, so i took the sunglasses and put the camera directly behind them, voila!
Pic6: Haha, me and Joel waiting in the queue for the Luge ride, wearing our super hot helmets XD
I'm gonna buy an external harddrive for all my pictures later ;)

G-star show + Bridal Veil 3

Hiyo!
Well yesterday (Friday):
I woke up early to go to a Calvin klein casting. . .
I get to the Fashion Fest tent outside Ngee Ann. . . .i walk in, the gaurds ask what i'm doing, i tell em i have a casting, after a bit of convincing they show me the backstage (They hadn't heard of daniel boey nor any casting. . . which i thought was strange)
I walk into a room with about 10 girls lined up in a line wearing designer outfits. . . . sure enough Daniel boey was there together with maybe 3-4 other men who are probably the clients.
I joined another heap of female models a bit further back in the room to wait, because daniel seemed busy. . . . . I was confused. . . why wasn't there any guys there. . . Turns out the damn casting is next friday haha. . . didn't check the date on the casting call!
Ah well. . . a bit bummed out because i lost out on sleep for nothing, i proceeded to the foodcourt for a chicken rice lunch. After the lunch i headed to Hayji road. . . just to find out that most of the shops hadn't opened yet. . . . It was blazing hot. . . it was actually dripping sweat off my face and i was wearing jeans because i thought i was gonna have a casting. . .. Well i had brought shorts with me anyway, but i couldn't find a place to change. . .. however i was getting desperate. . . it was so unbelievably hot, i actually ended up stripping down out in the open on Hayji Street! hahaha changed into my shorts really quickly in public XD That's how freakin bad it was. . . I found a somewhat remote spot but there were still people around :P Don't think anyone saw though. . . maybe one indian guy haha but who cares. . . as if i'll meet him again. . .
Well i headed to Bugis junction, called Joel, he told me he would meet me at Orchard mrt.
I hit starbucks first, after starbucks i went to orchard mrt where i waited for about half an hour. . .
Joel finally came and we took a cab. . . . back to Hayji street hahaha, this time the shops were open though, and i bought a scarf. . . earlier that day just before the "Casting" i also bought a pair of sunglasses from Topman. . . 36 dollars haha
Well, me n joel hastily went through the shops on Hayji Street, and before we knew it, it was time to head to City hall. I showed him the "River island" botique, shortly afterwards i left to the agency for "Hair & makeup" prior to the G-star show.
(We didn't really need professional Hair & makeup, but the agency organized it for us anyway)
I complained and told them that the stylists never do anything for me anyway, so Kit agreed and let me come 1 hour later than first stated.
I hung out at the agency for a while before i went next door to get "fixed" up :P
Yuriy was already sitting there with a shitload of makeup on (He always wears makeup) anastasia was also there (A "new" girl from ukraine, not the old anastaysia)
Some cute girl did my makeup, and then some girl did my hair. . . . sure enough. . . just as i had told the agency, the makeup was unnecessary and the hair. . . well just like always, the stylist tries to do something with my hair for about 10 minutes before they give up and let me do it myself hahha. . .
So anyway, the girl doing the makeup had apparently just graduated from makeup school or whatever, so she told me she wasn't very good with men's makeup. . . . . no she wasn't. . . i looked like a doll/girl. . . . and the hair. . . well she just made it worse because she used some wierd gel/wax/oil thing that just completely fked up the hair haha. . . . so i turned out worse than what i looked before the "fixing" haha.
I went back to the agency. . . asked if i could whipe off the makeup. . . Jane agreed, she laughed and agreed that i looked like a doll/girl hahah. . . so i ended whiping off all the makeup :P
So well that whole ordeal was unecessary XD
Eventually it became time to head to the G-star botique in Paragon shopping mall.
It was me, Bruno, Yuriy, Anastasia, Bruno's Girlfriend and Vince.
It was a great event (It was a launch of the new season's collection)
We just had to walk around the store and pose here and there, went on for a good hour or two.
It was great, we were allowed to eat, sit, talk, drink, just as long as it was a bit posy pose-likeish haha ^^
Anyway, i had a great time, and i kinda look up to Vince and Bruno so it was nice hanging out there :P
Another thing, people are saying that i've slimmed down haha whooo! Must've done something right then. . . Bruno was like nice bro! you look a lot better now than when we first did that Central show together! (And this is comming from a guy that got a perfect six pack within 3 weeks from a completely flat stomache. . . )
The people at Bridal Veil also said i had slimmed down. . . so when Joel leaves and i start hitting the gym everyday, it'll be fun to see if something more happens hehe ;)
Ok anyway, after the G-star show, i headed home (Dinner was the food they had at the event launch)
After a shower i headed back out into singapore.
I met up with Joel at tanjong pagar and together we headed to Nicole chen's Sister's birthday party.
Man. . . the people we met that night. . . First group we befriended was before we had reached the Party, we went to a public toilet and some lady standing at the counter started mumbling something in chinese to me and joel. . . i figured she was trying to tell us we had to pay. . . so we stopped up and looked confused at eachother. . . But there was a guy about our age washing his hands nearby, he laughed and told us to just ignore her.. . . i think she had a few screws loose.
After our bathroom visit we headed out to wash our hands, and the guy was still there waiting for his friends who were in the bathroom, so we talked for a bit and asked for directions. We ended up walked together with them, happily socializing, great guys. They told us to come to the club they were going if we couldn't find the place we were looking for.
Taking farewell of them we continued our search along tanjong pagar road, got lost again, asked for directions from another mixed group, they kindly and enthusiastically gave us directions (As we were leaving i heard one of the girls in the group tell the guy that gave us the directions "Handsome boy, why you let them leave?!" and then i think he started yelling after us, but we kept going haha)
Eventually we got to the first point of localization, the club "Play" which also happens to be the club the agency people took me one of my first nights in singapore in order to meet clients. . . . .Another interesting thing is that it's a gay bar. . .so everyone standing outside was staring at us as we walked by haha, anyway we asked them for directions, and we eventually found the place. . . . which turned out to be a gay bar as well. . . .. looooots of stares :P
Apparently where we wanted to go was just above the Gay club, so we finally found it haha.
We had a lot of fun, even though neither me nor Joel Really drank anything (Joel was underaged, and i can't remember the last time i paid for alcohol so i didn't want to start now hahaha)
We became good friends with a few different groups at the party, most noteable were a group of australians who we hung out with most of the time we were there.
And wow. . . Nicole is hot, and her sister is WOW, she can literally dance her way into any man's heart. . . never seen a girl dance like that before. . . .me n joel were like WTF==!??!?!?!
haha anyway, was a great great night and me n joel had a lot of fun. We headed home at around 3am.
Ok today (Saturday):
I woke up from joel calling me at around 10am, then i went back to bed till 10.30, which was when i got ready for work.
Headed into town, headed to Bridal Veil for my third Bridal Veil show.
The entire group was there, Michelle + co. and the models, Olga, Ksenia and Ganna. The female guest models were also there (They are all customers of bridal veil)
I lay down in a sofa and waited for the show to start. . wasn't much else to do hehe.
The show finally started and well it was just like the two previous shows, only difference was that they said they didn't need to draw fake facial hair on me this time to make me look older haha
The dresser kept giving me white whine to drink everytime i changed outfits (8 outfits) so i got a teeny weeny bit tipsy during the show :P
Well. . . uuuhm- . .. . the show was great, and jsut like a said, it was pretty much exactly the same as the previous 2 shows. . .
After the show we always have to stick around and mingle for a bit, i asked if i could get my picture taken with teh guest models because i think they were all very attractive women haha XD
Anyway, the two closest to me i put my arms around and they're like "Are you jealous now?!" to the girls standing further away from me. . . haha and the photographer told me that they had been going "Gaga" at me during the show. . . mwaha brag brag brag. . . but this is what i wanna read when i go through my life XD
Anyway, i left pretty quickly to meet up with Joel. . .. we hung out at starbucks for quite a while, before we once again headed to Hayji Street. . . .-.-
After Hayji Street, we went to bugis junction and watched the americanised version of the scariest movie i've ever seen in my life, a thai movie called "Shutter". . . .the american version was nothing compared to the thai one though. . . barely got scared at all which kinda bummed me considering how completely mind flayed i got from watching the thai version. . .
After the movie me and joel went to a japanese fastfood place called "Yoshinoya". . .. that's it, i'm never eating a hamburger again. . . if i want fastfood, this is where i will go. . . cheaper, same amount of food. . . . and DAMN it was good!
After the dinner, Joel had to leave to the airport to check his tickets (It was 9pm so that kinda sucked hahaha)
As for myself, i headed home, happily snapping pictures here and there with my camera ^^
And now i'm here!
Oh btw, did i mention i got that job which i had a casting for a few days back? It was one of the big castings with lots and lots of models at 9pm, where i came all sweatty from the zoo without my portfolio or anything haha. So i'm lucky i stayed because i was extremly close to ditching the casting when i saw how many models there were. . . . :P Did NOT think i'd get that job if we say so haha XD
Well that's about it. . .
Oyasumi nasai!

Mutto aishimas. . . . .. Sounds wierd. . . how do i say "lots of love" in japanese farfar? haha

PS.
Farfar
All the pictures that day were taken with the G9, however, some pictures were taken with more care than others, for example the pictures of myself in the G-star clothes were taken by the store assistant so i just switched the camera to Auto, which means it sets the settings for the photo by itself, but you won't get as nice pictures as when you do it yourself :P
Haha just let me know if you want anything, singapore is the place to purchase electronics, cheapest and safest in Asia.
I dislike fotball. . . i only watch it because i like taking a beer together with my football fanatic friends haha.
Girls on the other hand. . . i'll gladly go sit somewhere and just pass time by watching girls walk by XD
Thanks for the effort you put into the study information! Interesting stuff, damn this is hard deciding what i want to do :(
Hope all is well with you! Hälsa farmor!
Mutto Aishimas? haha

Dad
Haha! I hardly think a G-string show would be fun XD. . . . actually i take that back, i think i would laugh my ass off if i ever HAD to do one of those. . . . but damn hope i don't XD
And yes. . . YES. . . i have inherited your heat genes to the fullest. . . . that's why i most of the time bring shorts in my back pack if i wear jeans to work. And a t-shirt if i have to wear a shirt :P
Joel is always making fun of the sweat i produce XD
But hey! I got that job anyway hahah :D
Hope all is well my lovely family! Send my regards!
Lotsa Love!

Underbara Kussen!
Oroa dig icke något mer min vän, jag kommer hem before you know it ;) 2 månader kvar bara!
Hare så bra och hälsa hela familjen så gott!
Lotsa Love!

G-star fitting & Ed Pinaud Perfume Launch. . . Grabby ladies

Helllloooeeezzz!
I'll try n make this brief because i have a casting for Calvin Klein tomorrow morning, The G-star show at 5pm and a birthday party to attend at 10pm ;)
Alright so today (Thursday):
- Woke up (Durp . . . really?)
- Got ready and left for the G-star casting
- Had heavy anxiety because i thought i'd come pretty late. . . ended up arriving before the stylists and coreographer. .. .
- 4 outfits, i open and close the show i think. . . cewl ^^
- All outfits were badassed, to keep this brief i'll let the pictures, i asked one of the store attendants to take, describe what my outfits look like ;)
- My first outfit didn't get a picture taken though, anyway just jeans + t-shirt + badass jacket
- After the G-star fitting which ended 8 minutes after the time i was supposed to report at my next job. . . so i RUSHED off to Clark quay
- Lunar bar, this is where the show would be held (Ed pinaud's Perfume Launch)
- Models were me, chris, Gustavo, Jenny, and 2 other girls
- Other than us perfomming tonight there would be 2 live bands, hot girls in skimpy clothes. .. . nice
- The show was performed in Pairs, my "Girlfriend" was the absolutely stunning Jenny from hungary
- The show went well
- First i alone walk up on stage, poses in the middle, left then right, then wait for Jenny to do middle and left, after that, we met up in the middle of the stage and did a few poses together (Each holding a Perfume bottle) (Btw, the guy's outfit was just a black dinner suit. . . my own, and hte girls were wearing wierd futuristic dresses with aluminium foil n stuff attached. . . .)
- After our sequence on the stage, we walked down infront of the stage, to join the 2 pairs that had been up before us (We were the closing pair)
- Group Pose for all the millions of cameras
- Walk back up on stage, another group picture
- Then we mingled around in the crowd spraying perfume on people and stuff
- Women were grabbing me and i had to take pictures with like half the people in the fully packed club, i eventually got pulled away with the help of one of the gaurds, who helped me walk up to the vip room where the same process repeated itself. . . I'm on a lot of people's private cameras now. . .
- After the show i headed home and now i'm writing this ;)
- Gotta go to sleep like now though! hehe sorry for the brief post!

Lotsa Love!

/Alex

PS.
MOM
thanks maaaah, the g-star clothes were awesome, and ofc i watch my sleep. . . i probably sleep the most of the models here XD
Lotsa Love!
(I got yer email btw, will respond and read it more closely tomorrow ;)

Farfar
Well i paid 899singaporian dollars, however, i can claim 44 dollars when i leave back home to sweden. So ultimately i paid 855 dollars which is exactly 3933 swedish krs! And don't forget that i got a crazy bundle filled with goodies!
Wow, i've reached the "Honorifics" section of my japanese learning book. . . . JEEEZ. . . this is gonna take time to memorize haha ;)
Enjoy the soccer game my man!
Lotsa Love! Hälsa Farmor!

Lena
Aaaah, sounds pleasant, you seem to have done a lot of travelling in your life. . . now that i think of it i think you had told me once that you've travelled a lot! Great way of living life and earning unforgettable life lessons and experiences!
As for the weather. . . uuugh i don't know, it may seem nice with warmth, but this is to a certain extreme i don't always enjoy!
As for your worries. . i don't know, i just kinda did. . . .but not to a severe extent. . .
thanks for the encouragements!
Lotsa Love!

Sweat, Aches and Exhaustion, singapore zoo and shopping

Hi Ho!
Well, today i spent pretty much the entire day together with Joel.
I woke up at around 9am. . . lay in bed till 10am.
Got ready and rushed off to Ang mokio, which i reached about an hour and a half later. . . . 14 hållplattser from Clementi. . . not counting the busstops to the mrt :P
Anyway, at Ang mokio mrt, i met up with Joel and we proceeded by jumping on a 20minute buss ride to the Singapore Zoo.
The sun was blazing and the humidity was unbearable.
We started the zoo off by eating at KFC. . . not the healthiest choice, but damn good nonetheless hehe.
After KFC we began our tour of the Zoo.
We saw everything from the huge red butts of the monkeys, to the crazy eyes of some wierd little . .. . whatever the heck it was :P
Singapore Zoo is always fun, not necessarily the animals considering how i've seen this zoo about 500 million billion times already, but i find it pleasant walking around the zoo enjoying nature and socializing.
My god it was so hot. . . i was drenched in sweat. . . i probably have to buy a new t-shirt. . . *Sigh*
After the zoo, me and Joel headed off to Joel's aunt's appartment where he was staying. She wasn't home but the purpose of the visit was to acquire a certain amount of cash for a day of continuous shopping :P
Orchard was our first stop, we walked around for a period of time checking out stores that we had already seen the previous day. . . but eeeh who cares.
However, after a while we ended up realizing how pointless it was visiting the same stores over and over again, which is about when we stumbled upon a singaporian tourist center.
We walked in and asked where we could go and check out clothes. We were advised to check out Bugis (Which i had completely forgotten about) and a road which i had never heard of "Hayji".
Without further delay the dynamic duo proceeded to Bugis Junction where we walked around for quite some time checking out the different stores. . . . . we didn't find much, so we decided to head to the mysterious "Hayji" Road. . .
Fumbling around with the map which refused to fold in the desired way (Hence leading to a crumpled and very "experienced" looking map), we navigated past North bridge road, Rochor road, Ophyr street and eventually reached Arab street. . . . which meant we had gone to far. . . Confused i looked around because the map said that the Hayji road was somewhere between Ophyr street and Arab street. . . .. however the only thing between these two streets was a dodgey looking alley. . . . .Sure enough this turned out to be Hayji street. . . . Laughing we entered the tiny street which we had assumed would be some fancy schmancy street such as orchard (Because the Lady in the tourist place told us it was mostly imported brands).
We were both wondering what the hell we could possibly find in this place. . . . oh how looks can be decieving.
The stores we found were hiding away between cafés, and houses looking a bit tattered and also "experienced". . .
These were tiny stores, far from the shopping buildings which we had imagined. . . . but the clothes we found in these stores were awesome!
Imported from places such as Japan and Korea we found a whole heap of interesting clothes and designs which would be impossible to find in the mainstream places. I LOVE this kind of stuff.
Better yet, it's pretty much cooler brands for a significantly better price when compared to the mainstream brands. . . .
In one store we ended up chatting for a while with the store manager who had a lot of character, we eventually found out that the designers of the clothes in this store were holding a fashion show during the fashion festival.. . . . which he offered us invites to (The fashion fest is private)
So we might go on sunday, not sure, but we got to check out the chosen outfits which had been hanged up on the upper floor.
Regrettably I did not have much time to explore this wonderful street so me n Joel kind of rushed through it, we will deffinitely return.
After Hayji road, me and Joel headed home, i had one stop before i reached clementi though.
A casting for another fashion festival show, don't recognize the brand but it was one of those big castings with people from an array of agencies. . . luckily enough i arrived relatively early and ended up as nr 14 on the list of models. . . . there was an entire page more filled with models which would ultimately have to wait till everyone before them in line finished. . . .
The casting took about 45 minutes before it was my turn (nr 14 is maybe half of the first page)
It was smooth and easy, jsut put on an outfit, do a catwalk and leave.
I hadn't brought anything though, no portfolio nor comcard (Luckily enough i had done several shows with the people organizing the casting, so a com card wasn't really necessary)
I was also dressed in the same sweaty haggard assed tshirt and shorts i'd been bearing all day. . .. ugh hate recieving castings when you've already left the house :P I felt kinda stupid sitting in the room filled with models in that state XD
Anyway, the time was now 10pm at night, i had been walking all day since 11am. . . . i was POOPED! and as if that wasn't enough. .. . i STILL hadn't eaten freakin dinner. . ..
So exhausted and worn down to the bone, i headed home, found that the local coffee shop's food stalls were closed, and decided to just head back to the appartment and make a smörgås bord which i happly wolfed down to the movie "Hitman". If you have not yet seen this movie i highly recommend it, probably something mom and dad would enjoy so ask martin or rikard ;) Lots of stylish action.
Well. . . no i'm here typing the blogg. . ..
Other than that, i've got a show tomorrow "Ed pinaud's perfume launch", a show on saturday . . . another bridal show. . . and a show next wednesday for fashion festival. Not only that, but to my extreme joy i also found out today that i am confirmed for the "G-star" show, which i will be fitting for tomorrow :D Hope i get a cool outfit haha XD
Well. . .that's about it for me tonight!

Lotsa Love!

PS.
Farfar
I appreciate all the research you did for me, thank you!
And yeh i love the camera, and i also figured it would be the best for my situations, it is way more portable than an SLR and i can bring it where the SLR won't be allowed. . . which is a lot of the places i attend. The Canon G9 has been reviewed by many high-end magazines, forums, homepages etc. and in most of them it is the nr 1 camera.
As for the pictures, i took them all, except for the 2 where i am in the pool in bintan and the one where i am standing infront of a fountain in bintan. . . credit goes to Cathy for those XD
If you wonder how i got MYSELF into the night pictures further down in the post, it was because i used the selftimer function on the camera and used a tripod to hold the camera up to an apropriate hight hehe ;) But yeh they're all taken by me haha, but i only so far know how to play around with the whitebalance, manual focus, colour settings and shutter speeds, so just wait till i figure out more and i'll take even better pictures :D . . . not sure what aperature is yet but that's apparently really important so i got to read up on that haha.
And yes congratulations to the morally correct job of my father, i am proud!
Lotsa Love!

What would we do without the completely spontaneous and never constant swedish weather? Because of these, at first look, annoying traits, i believe the wierd and tuff weather circumstances which we so often get exposed to in sweden help us to enjoy those perfect days to a significantly higher extent! Same goes for life for that matter ;)
Kameran kommer stå under high surveillance så fort den lämnar mitt rum, och jag tänker inte ta ut den till allt för riskabla miljöer haha!
I'm pleased to hear that kimym stayed at the country house for a night!
What's this about swedish girls loving japan?
Haha hope all is well with you two!
Lotsa Love

I'm super psyched. . . DU å jaaag G9an!

WEEOEOEOEOEOOOO!!!
Har köpt kameran ^^
Men först, recap:
Igår (måndag). . . wait, söndag å måndag då, bintan trip first:
- Calm boat ride to the indonesian island called bintan, nothing close to as ruff a trip as the one me and the nordmark's made a few years back. . . god will never forget that. . . haha the boat was literally flying, people were puking, i was laughing. EVERYONE was vomitting their guts out, the personell were walking around giving out vomit bags to every passenger hahaha. . . i'm sure mom remembers this pretty vividly as well considering as how subseptible she is to motion sickness. . .
- Anyway! moving on, we arrived at the island, the singaporians walked in and past the immigration barriers smoothly and quickly. . .. i had to wait for a disturbing amount of time amongst all the Angmo's (Västerlänningar) in order to purchase my 10-american-dollar-visa into indonesia. . . .
- The majority of the tourists on this island were none other than. . .. the JAPS!!!! omg there were so many japanese tourists hahaha loved it, and jeeez not to mention one drop dead eye melting gorgeous girl, whom ofc spoke no english at all, hence inspiring me to hardcore study japanese during the trip. . . Other than japs there was a significant amount of swedish meatballs around as well ;)
- During sunday. . . I swam around in the pool and ocean together with Cathy and Kong kong while guama seeked refuge on a sunchair under the shade
- During monday. . . I swam around in the pool and ocean together with Cathy, while the grandparents seeked refuge in the hotel room and shade.
- Other than swimming we ate. . . .and we slept. . . and we ate. . . and then we ate some more. . .
- Sunday night we ate at a beautifully positioned seafood restaurant (I ate beef) set out a bit away from the shore into the ocean under the nightsky.
- Eeeeuuuhmm. . . well surprisingly enough there isn't much i can describe. . . i mean we just. . . swam around. . .. i shared room with Kong kong. . . and well, it was an awesome trip i guess haha.
- We also spent an hour or two walking around checking out whatever there was to check out, amongst otheres, there were three giant birdcages with parrots, a beach during sunset inhabited by tiny little crabs digging holes in the sand and rolling tiny little sandballs. . . .for mating attraction purposes is my best bet. . . amazing little creatures. . .
- Well yah. . . oh and sunday was EXTREME sun and heat. .. my god. . .. it was HOT! and as much as i tried to hide from the sun in order to save myself from a future scolding by the agency, i still absorbed a massive amount of sun and turned malaysian/indian brown. . . .hahaha
- The boat ride home was as smooth as the one we took to the island
- After the boat ride i headed to the agency, got a schedual written out for me by kit, i have a load of castings and shows comming up
- After the agency, i went to chow down on some chicken rice in orchard road followed by a movie ("Be kind rewind" Jack black & that guy from "Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy") together with my "Cousin" Joel
Ok, on to today (Teusday):
- It's been early mornings for the past few days (I.e 7am - 8am) Today was no different
- Walked off to a casting of which i was pretty excited, it was for the infamous denim brand "G-star"
- I was wearing a black shirt, black jeans from G-star and a half leather/ half shiny cottonish pair of shoes. . . . . enough said, it was hot as hell! Not only the clothing. . . but the weather was insaaane!
- Well i got to the casting, they seemed to like me (I asked later at the agency, kit said "She says you should be confirmed". . . wahtever the heck "Should" means i have no idea)
- The reason i was psyched for this casting was not only because of the brand, which i happen to really like, but also because i've seen the catwalks "G-star" organizes. . . . brilliant
- After the casting i was suffering so much in the heat during the walk back to the mrt, i had to stop somewhere and change into lighter clothes (I always bring shorts in my backpack when i have to wear jeans to work)
- I saw the place i would use to change, i had been to a casting in that building before. . . actually it was a row of buildings, so i went to the first one in hope of finding a vacant toilet. . . . nope, 2nd. . . nope. . .3rd nope. . . they were all locked
- I was literally going insane from the heat so i got fed up and cut the search short, i spotted a dark and empty stairway. . . i walked in
- Checked out my surroundings. . . good. . . no cameras nor people in sight
- I bend down and start unzipping my back pack
- I hear a noise comming from further down the hallway. . . .
- Out pops the head of an old man, casually looking out from the corner. . .
- He looks confused. . . scared even. . .
- I laugh and say sorry (I realized he was a bum. . . and i had just stumbled into his "home". . . i guess he was taking a nap)
- He smiles and chuckles a bit
- I cut my striptease short and walk out, although i couldn't stand the heat. . . . so out in the open i just ripped my shirt off and put on a t-shirt. . . the jeans would have to stay a while. . . good lord. .. . why do i have to be so stingy? i ended up walking for about 15 minutes in the blaaazing heat. . .
- As soon as i got to the mrt station i walked into the airconditioned 7-eleven and purchased a giant-sized slushy drink. . . .. nice. . .. i stood in the store enjoying the AC and mind blowing brain freeze. . . .
- Eventually i exited my haven and jumped onto the mrt to continue my journey to orchard where i met up with Joel
- We walked around EVERYWHERE in orchard road. . .checked out EVERY store.. . .
- We got stopped on the street by some models i know and ended up chilling out at starbucks for a while. . .. but other than that we didn't sit down anything during the whole day. . . .
- I also got a chance to walk to lucky plaza where i checked every store for pricings on the camera, i.e the semi-pro "canon G9" (I had troubles sleeping last night, two things were bothering me, excitement about the camera and my signature. . . i ended up switching on the lights at 2am and spending 30 minutes figuring out what i should use as my signature/underskrift. . . i think i've found one that works)
- Anyway, we got prices ranging from around 900-720 sing dollars on the camera
- We walked back to the place selling the camera for 720 offered by a chinese lady calling herself Sister Doris, whom also assured us she felt obligated to take care of her young brothers, hence giving us a super duper mega mind flaying price and offer on the camera. . . . the end price: 850 sing. . . . screw lucky plaza. . . stupid mall anyway
- I then called my dear friend Khai (I had also called Ting who strongly advised we skip lucky plaza. . . ) and asked him, he told me to check out Sim lim complex and Harvey norman super store
- After another few hours on orchard road, I decided to take Joel to Suntec City .. . where we walked around for at least another 2 hours. . . cry. . ..
- However, the harvey norman shop was in suntec city, so we went to check it out. . . . this is what i bought:
- Canon G9 with original boxing and everything that comes with it
- Upgraded mini tripod to a large tripod
- Mini tripod
- 2 bags, one big one and one tiny casing worth 29dollars alone
- Cleaning kit
- not only a 2gb memory card, but he also gave me a 4gb memory card! along with the puny 32mb memory card you get in the camera box
- 44dollars which i can claim at the airport when i leave singapore
DAMN STRAIGHT!!!!
- The finaly cost was 899, in a normal store the camera box alone goes for 890 sing
- the reason for this crazy deal? IT fair my friends. .. IT fair. . .
- As you may remember, i had been at an IT fair (Together with Daniel) giving insane bundles like the one i got today for much better prices than usual, turns out the IT Fair bundles are still selling as long as the stock is still. . . . in stock. . . hrm. . . Well lucky me! :D
- After i bought the camera, me n Joel walked to starbucks and finally got to rest our ACHING feet
- I played around with my new baby, joel drank a random drink
- We then proceeded to City hall, (Btw which i had taken him around during that day as well. . . . a LOT of walking today) i brought Joel to the agency, we split off, he met up with his auntie for dinner and i hung out at the agency a while
- After while i headed to a fitting not far from the agency
- It was a fitting for fashion festival with daniel boey
- I walk in, see like 10 guys, all ripped as shit, or skinny a la New york model style. . . . seems like ALL the european models are here now. . . shit. . . .
- Anyway, i met up with some old acquaintances and we got fitted
- It's one of those designer shows to show off to the world his skills and creativity. . . . which also happens to mean that no one, no where on earth would actually wear these crazy contraptions. . . i don't even know how to describe these outfits. . . so i'll just resfrain myself from it. . . just use your imagination. .. . haha. . . ok tip, it kinda has a gothic/raver/Stylish/formal/childish/schoolish look. . .. . . hrm
- After the fitting i headed to Dhoby ghaut where i met up with the relatives for dinner at a chinese restaurant
- We then headed home, and i was playing with my camera all the way home in the car
- Outside our home i told them to go up without me, i pulled out my camera and tripod and told them imma play a bit
- I walked into the park outside the appartment
- It was dark as night, the only sources of light were the dimly lit Nattlyktor. . . . perfect opportunity to try out the small amount of knowledge i posess when it comes to professional photography. . . .. . namely shutter speed adjustment hahahah XD Which is literally barely any knowledge at all haha
- Ok so after fibbling with the tripod for 15 minutes trying to figure out what bloody screw did what, i finally attached the camera and started taking photos. . .
- Hahaha, i ran around the park like an idiot. . . thing is, there were still a few people walking about in the dark. . . and well. . . .this is how i would take a picture:
- Set the tripod into the desired position
- take some photos adjusting the shutter speed to a setting i was satisfied with
- Put on the selftimer to 10 seconds
- Press the shoot button
- Quickly run to where i wanted to stand and strike a stupid pose
- Freezing in my pose for 10 seconds + the shutter speed time. . . hence looking like a complete retard
- Run in a stupid and childishly excited way, back to the camera after i hear the click, laughing and smiling like an idiot hahah XD
- Note that there were people walking around. . . one woman was walking past and laughed, asked what i was doing haha "Just bought the camera HOHO playing around, i'm excited"
- Guess it's kinda sad how easily entertained i can be. . ..
- After running around the park for a while, the battery life started fading and i headed up to the appartment
- Took a shower
- Headed to Cathy's computer (She was occupying mine, playing one of my games)
- Surfed the internet for about 4 hours checking out info about my camera. Looking for lenses, etc.
- And finally, now i'm at my computer writing the blog haha. . . moved the pictures i took to the computer and currently reloading the camera batteries
It's awesome. . . . love it . . . .
You guys can expect some killer photos when i figure out how to use this thing XD

Well that's about it!

Gnight!

Lotsa Love

Dad
Näääh peer pressured hasn't ever really been a problem of mine. . .
Heard about the Country house easter, sounds great :D Wish i was there to steal all the easter eggs mwaha!
You and yer flying contraptions. . . practice makes perfect. . . is what they say XD
And yeh, about the AADB.com contact, as i told you, the agency researched her school, and excitedly told me that it is a very well reknowned school, and that i should deff meet up with her and let the agency know about the outcome ^^
Happy easter and say hello to the family!
Lotsa Love!

Farfar
Haha yeh i finally settled for the G9 and i couldn't wait anymore so i bought it today! :D
I've spent nearly a month now checking out cameras, both online and in real life, asking everyone i could possibly ask, and the G9 seems like the camera for me. Not only because it's almost like an SLR, but because of all the benefits i gain from it NOT being an SLR.
Example: some concerts and events don't allow SLRs. . . in i come with my G9 ^^ but ofc it would be badassed with an SLR. . . a future project i suppose!
Happy easter and hälsa farmor!
Lotsa Love!

Lena
Haha, yeh as i said, i've heard about the countryhouse visit and really wish i could've been there!
I hope you guys had fun, and i'm glad you were able to participate!
Don't worry about me ;) But wise words nonetheless!
Hope all is well with you, happy easter!
Lotsa Love!
